laptop screen turns black whenever i connect it to charger?

the screen works fine with the battery but when i connect it to the electricity with the charger it turns black , what should i do ?

I am not where the main problem lies with little information you are telling. However, this happens frequently with Dell laptops. Dell’s merchandise have been programmed so that the laptop will only recognize Dell’s own battery and laptop charger. So if this thing happen to malfunction within the laptop charger, the Dell laptop will refuse to charge the battery with it. This does not mean you cannot use a compatible laptop charger, though. This function only refrains you from using an universal charger. So if you are using a Dell laptop, you might need to replace your laptop charger.

You can simply find compatible laptop chargers via websites such as ebay, amazon, google shopping, etc. or simply from Dell itself (which will be the most expensive). However, you got to be cautious in reading the specifications and warranty policies because sellers’ liability also varies.

If you know someone who uses the same model as you, you could try plugging in the laptop charger and see if it works. Or, use the warranty if you still have it. If you are thinking about getting a replacement, I would personally suggest buying one from http://www.topmic.com
